 From Lyon head south and exit at the Bollène/Pont-St-Esprit exit (No.19). From the tollbooth you will come to a roundabout where you should take the first exit in the direction of Pont-St-Esprit on the D994, crossing the Canal Du Rhône.You will pass through the
small village of Lamout de Rhône.At the roundabout take the third
exit in the direction of Bagnols-sur-Cèze, continuing on the D994.
You then cross the river Rhône.At the roundabout take the second
exit still in the direction of Bagnols-sur-Cèze/Alès/Nimes on the D994.At the next roundabout take second exit again sign-posted ‘Bagnols-sur-Cèze/Alès/Nimes’ on the N86.You will pass through the small town of St.Nazaire, going straight over at the traffic lights.As you come into Bagnols-sur-Cèze, you will pass a ‘Total’ garage on your left and cross a bridge over the river La Cèze. At the roundabout take the first exit in the direction of ‘Alès’ on the D6.At
the next roundabout take the first exit in the direction of ‘Alès’.
Continue along the D6 for approximately 21 miles.This road will take you through the countryside and past lots of vineyards.You will pass through the small village of ‘Marcel-de-Careiret’. Continue along until you come to a turning on your right-hand side sign-posted ‘Les Fumades’ onto the D7.You will come onto a small winding road, passing the small village of Brouzet-Les-Alès and then Navacelles.You should continue following signs for ‘Les Fumades’.You will pass a small hamlet called Cal on your right-hand side. Just after this you should turn left, just before a disused petrol station, onto the D241 in the direction of ‘Les Fumades’.The campsite is situated on your left-hand side just after the river Alauzenes.As a guide the distance from the motorway exit 19 to the campsite is approximately 39 miles and takes about 1 hour. |
